Neighbors heating unit is damaged & keeping me up at night

So this happened last winter & I contacted maintenance because I initially thought it was my own system that was having issues because of how loud this noise is. But I realized this year that it’s definitely the upstairs neighbors system because I turned my heat on about a month before most people would & there were no issues & the sound is definitely originating from up there. It’s a really loud and persistent grinding noise. I’m not sure how they’ve remained unbothered by it all this time. Anyway, is there anything I can do about it seeing as the issue is not actually originating from my apartment? It’s keeping me up for hours on end most nights & I can’t live on a couple of hours of interrupted sleep for the next several months all over again.
