OneDigital Job Scam - highly recommended to avoid!
Im not sure if people here have run into scams on the job market but I am left and right. I've figured out how to spot them generally, but theres actual companies......whole call centers that are devoted to scammery?
I went into a interview for a OneDigital Advanced Health in Chicago. Beware! They invited me in under two different names, but I ended up at the same office - that is not the office shown on their website.
Either way, the environment felt so toxic once I got there! People speaking a bit too fast as if they'd get in trouble if they didn't? The boss, Tyler, i believe his name gave me the most overbearing feeling. Don't consider this, it is an opinion. Maybe he was not feeling up to it, or didn't like my energy.
The real news: It's that the shadow call that I received was for an older lady, who was fine with her current insurance plan. OneDigital basically is an insurance broker that works with other insurance companies to take people from Medicaid to another insurance that costs similar but is under their program. I listened to a guy finagle this older lady into a plan that not only she didn't want, but he kept feeding her lines about "more money on your food card." At the end of the call, when she finally succumbed, he asked "didn't you want more money on your food card?" and she said, "NO! where did you get that from?" He said, "interesting."
RED FLAG
Man! What were you trying to do? I felt like this lady got bamboozled and was talked over, and convinced to switch based on it being "the same thing," which isn't entirely true.
I think its a scam! And I am so glad that I followed my gut.
