What are your thoughts on women leading in a dating relationship?

I’m a woman, and in my past three relationships, I pursued, paid, lead, and planned. I didn’t mind it, but it did start wearing on me and it was hard. Am I being too much of a traditionalist or do relationships usually work out better, if the men lead in the relationship? Or is it communication and both working with each other that make a relationship?
