How to fix ‘white sky’ on my Kodak cam?

I just recently got a Kodak pixpro fz55 digicam as a birthday gift and its the first camera I’ve ever used and I keep having an issue where some photos I take the sky is really bright and the camera cant adjust the exposure properly and the picture ends up having a way too bright sky and a really dark everything else. The first picture is an example of that, while the second picture is the same spot just taken on my iphone and looks a lot better. Does anyone know how I could fix this to make my photos nicer?
