Another "ditched my run flats" post
And man what a difference. I read countless comments on here about swapping run flats for non-runflats and how it was night and day. I really thought these comments were over rated. I got 3 sidewall bubbles in 2 years with my factory Goodyear runflats. The first two times I bought a replacement on tire rack, having to get it shaved the second time for the AWD.
After the 3rd, I said fuck it and ordered 4 new Continental DWS06+. Immediately I noticed I couldn't feel the texture of the road anymore. All the tiny bumps and jostles were gone. On top of that, traction is surprisingly better too for a tire that's technically rated lower for traction. In case anyone else is on the fence, this is my experience.
