So… why is the Ink Demon so hilariously powerful in the lore?

I know, “it’s a soulless entity”, but… that doesn’t explain jack as to why it has special abilities no other ink creatures do not possess. It one-shots other enemies, creates trailing lines of dark ink on the walls, and has the fastest speed of any enemy, but there’s no reason as why apart from, “haha, it has no soul, which it makes it obscenely powerful”!

Why is it that powerful in general?
