Is it just me, or are BC;NR e-daters?
It's pretty well-accepted that Across the Pond Friend is about meeting your Roblox friend IRL, with a good chunk of romantic undertones. But on top of that, the relationship that makes up the main subject of AFUT has a few hints towards being, or at least beginning/at one point being online. From Concorde, "Through a thousand-mile-long tube" recalling "The internet is a series of tubes", Bread Song's "I tried my best to hold you through the headset that you wear" is pretty explicit, and honestly all of Good Will Hunting has huge LDR vibes.
Now, admittedly I could be projecting here, as someone in an LDR with a fellow BC;NR fan, but I do think there's some things there. It would make sense demographically; BC;NR are young enough for it to not be that unusual, and "Moving from one micro-influencer to another" from Science Fair implies enough of an onlineness for it to be plausible, imo.
