The Only Fair Remedy: Admit Everyone

At this point, we all know how bad the Feb 25 exam was. We’ve spent the whole week going over the technical failures, unfair testing conditions, and the sheer incompetence on all levels. There’s no question that this wasn’t a fair test of legal ability, but was a test of who could survive the disaster without getting kicked out, locked out, or distracted beyond repair.

The only just outcome is for the State Bar to admit everyone who sat for this exam. Curving it, offering free retakes, giving people an alternative option... none of these fix the fact that this entire administration was a failure. They’ve failed us, not the other way around. If they want to preserve any integrity in this process, they need to do the right thing.

At the very least, they need to acknowledge how bad this was and propose an actual remedy that isn’t just “wait and see.”
