NMIMS interview experience

I’m not sure if this would be of any help but here’s my interview experience from last year NMIMS Mumbai core.

Last year I tanked CAT and scored 253 in NMAT.

We were told to report NMIMS Mumbai , early in the morning by 9 - 10 am. You will be made to sit in a guest hall and will have your documents verified especially your work experience docs. After the verification you will be made to put your belongings behind and proceed to their hall ( it was big and it felt good to be in there ). Someone gave a speech and informed us of some developments of reducing NMAT weightage to 50% from 70%.

After that we were divided into groups of 10 and were made to proceed for WAT and Watson Greyson Test. Just a gentle reminder, do remember your email ID and password used to register on NMIMS and turn off your two step verification. ( but this year process is different but I would still recommend this) .

My WAT topic was something related to spread of misinformation due to social media and regulations.

After WAT and Watson we were made to proceed to the center to the building that we see on photos and media, it looked good. You will be taken to 5th floor. ( felt like we were in a 5 star hotel not a college ). You will be made to wait in classroom and will be guided by the Placecom for further developments and would be shared a QR code to connect to linkedin. After having refreshments - chai, samosa and biscuits. 3 people will be called for PI , 1 would be having his PI and 2 would be waiting outside for their turn and this process continues until all interviews scheduled are done.

Here’s my PI, 2 senior faculties ( one male and female ).

They quickly went through my data, M : dont be so stiff , take water , be comfortable.

Me : Thanked him for the offer.

M: tell me about your self

Me : Answered ( mentioned my family business )

M : why MBA , if you have family business.

M : asked me of my role in business

F : Describe yourself in one word?

Me : ( answered in 2 words )

F : those are two words , give me one

Me : answered

F : is being empathetic for a manager a bad trait ?

Me : explained

F : okay we are done do you have any questions?

This was my interview, it was a chill interview and was allowed to leave immediately afterwords.

Result : converted , choose to leave and give CAT second time.

And Last but not the least, guys i’m a male , and believe me ye mumbai hai.. kaafi hariyali milegi in college.
