Question about pub Lobbies

Recently joined a pub lobby want going so well, two of them had the gray Pj skin so thought was going to be ok after a few of em going down they dwindled to just me another guy then on two occasions two different people joined. So my question is this it was my understanding once passing so many rounds joining ceased ?, bearing in mind this was say round 30 these guys joined
