Do you think that the practice of trying to convert others, as instructed by the Great Commission, will only intensify the conflict between the secular world and the religious fundamentalist world?
I don't believe the entire world will convert to Christianity. The diversity of thought among various social groups is so abundant that trying to make everyone Christian seems counterproductive in our culturally, ideologically, and experientially diverse world.
As an ex-Catholic, I've observed that some former peers have experienced a decline in their mental health because they struggled to come to terms with their beliefs. Consequently, they have become proponents of authoritarian methods to convert others to their faith. This includes teaching Christianity in public schools, eliminating secular content from education, and instructing children to avoid exposure to opposing viewpoints regarding their faith.
I appreciate Christians who seek to inspire others not through words but by demonstrating how their faith elevates their lifestyle. I do not support those who insist everyone must adhere to a single, monolithic interpretation of faith.
What are your thoughts? Thank You
