Medical screening
Just did orientation yesterday, 05/23 and so far passed everything. My list number is 7XX and I am also a veteran and claimed my veterans credit. I also have my permit (CDL class B) and scheduled for DSNY CDL training at FBF June 3rd. I've been scheduled for my medical for June 11th but I'm worried about a medical case I have been involved with since last year September. I was the victim of a hit and run in Queens and have been going to therapy for my lower back and for some minor migraines. Since the accident I have been working and the accident hasn't had any effect on my working abilities. At the very beggining they prescribed me Naproxen for pain and also another prescription for a drug to treat muscle spasms. Neither of these drugs I have taken even though they were prescribed to me. They also gave me 3 lidocaine injections for pain relief. Also they sent me for MRI and I was told that I have a herniated disk. With all this it never hindered my ability to work and my work consist of a lot of bending and lifting. My job title is inventory management so lifting boxes is part of my job description and despite the accident I have been working ever since. So I just want to know what should I say at the medical screening? Should I disclose or just tell the truth or only answer what they ask and don't divulge any more info than what is neccessary? I spoke to my lawyer and he says to just be truthful and only answer what they ask for and nothing more. Also in the beggining of my treatment I did experience some pain since it was fresh off the accident but after several sessions of therapy it all went away and now I feel nothing. So just want to ask you all what is your opinion on how I should go about this situation. Also I spoke to the doctor at my therapy and asked him for a letter saying that I am cleared to work so that I have it before my medical which he said he will do. Anyway appreciate any serious advise and info. that any of you can give and thanks!
