Character meal recommendations for skeptical husband

Hi all! I went to Disneyland for the first time last year and I'm in love. I take my oldest child with me as our special time, but my preschooler stays home with my husband because he doesn't get the hype. My entire family is going to be in Anaheim around the holidays (not the parks) and I'd like to take my preschooler to a character meal as an intro to Disney. My husband is willing to do a character meal. I've only done Goofy's Kitchen and Plaza Inn as character meals.

Would you all recommend Storytellers Cafe or Goofy's Kitchen to someone who doesn't understand they Disney joy? Thanks!

Update: Went to Storytellers Cafe and had a blast!!!! We were there for two hours and crossed over from the breakfast menu to the brunch menu. It was a long time. I have a great pic of my husband hugging Chip with his eyes closed and a face full of joy.

I did go with the recommendation to book for 4 people and then tell them 5, once we get there to ensure a reservation. It ended up making us wait for an additional 30 minutes to get a table that fit us which the family was slightly irritated by because, you know, hangry, but once we were there my preschooler was waving, dancing and giving the tightest hugs to all the characters.
