is Electrical engineering the best degree in the tech market?
i am looking into engineering degrees. i am torn apart, so many choices in so many fields. i have an interest in tech and i want a degree to stand out. the number one choice so far is EE for the verstility it provides.
i want a respectable degree. i dont wan't to take an IT degree for 4 years only for it to be deemed completely useless by the time i graduate. my point is i don't want to go to university for a degree i could have learned online otherwise. also i want a degree that have the ability to make it easier for me to pivot into different industries. i've also thought about computer engineering. and also comp sci (although its becoming a very oversaturated degree/market).
what are your thoughts? was getting a degree in EE helped you massively in the tech job market? did you get sought after by employers just because you had an EE degree? is an EE major with programming knowledge more valuable than a comp sci major with the same programming knowledge?
