I didn't like the way nick was handled

I'm not talking about his storyline completely.I'm only talking about his death.The way he got killed by Charlie for no reason if I'm not wrong and how Charlie got away with almost no repurcussions.I might be looking differently than most of you but I feel like nick died for no reason and it would've been nice if he was still around.
