Is this GERD?

Hello! I've been reading a lot in this sub for a while and was a little worried to post but here we go. I'm (26) dealing with a swollen throat for going on 5-6 weeks now. Like that closed up feeling, awkward to swallow, but not actually closed up. I have a constant hoarseness in my voice too, but also to note I am a pretty heavy smoker (15 a day - I know. Im trying to stop.) but this is an unusual hoarseness compared to my usual days.

I came down with tonsilitis (regularly) and bronchitis around 5 or 6 weeks ago, but both cleared up and I am still left with the throat sensation and hoarse voice. I get tonsilitis quite often but this swelling is 100% not my tonsils anymore (emergency doc I visited agreed)

Are these symptoms of GERD? I also have a lot of phlegm but never any relief. Petrified that it could be the dun dun dun worst case scenario according to Dr. Google, but until I can get to a doctor after Christmas I am super worried. Basically just wondering here if these are symptoms of GERD also? Some members of my family have GERD so maybe it is genetic.
