During Harry's first Christmas at Hogwarts, Harry recieves a letter from his mom along with the Cloak
But there was something else: a letter with his name written on it in delicate, flowing handwriting.
Harry's heart skipped a beat as he unfolded the letter and began to read.
Dear Harry,
If you are reading this letter, it means that James and I are no longer with you. I am so sorry, my dear boy. We loved you more than words can express, and our greatest regret is that we cannot be there to watch you grow up.
First, I want to address a few dear friends: Nolan and Debbie. You were both such a significant part of our lives. Nolan, our past holds so many memories, and Debbie, your acceptance of Mark as your stepson showed true love and kindness. I hope you both find happiness and continue to be the incredible people we know you are.
To Sally and Poseidon: the times we spent together before my marriage to James were some of the best. I'm glad to see you doting on Percy and giving him the love he deserves. Those days will always hold a special place in my heart.
And now, to my three precious boys: Mark, Percy, and Harry.
Mark, as the oldest, it's your duty to watch over your younger brothers. Guide them, support them, and be the strength they need.
Percy, my dear, do not be discouraged when you learn who your father really is. Embrace your heritage and know that you are loved for who you are.
Harry, my sweet child, I haven't met you yet, but every day I felt you kicking, reminding me that you were growing and eager to join this world. I want you to know that I loved you with all my heart even before you were born. Your father and I dreamed of the day we would hold you in our arms.
This cloak belonged to your father, and now it belongs to you. Use it wisely, my love. Let it be a reminder that we are always with you, watching over you and loving you from afar.
Be brave, be strong, and know that you are never alone. You have a family and friends who love you dearly.
With all my love,
Mum
