Dealer added accessories

Was at the dealer yesterday and was shocked at the number of dealer added accessories on the Palisade I was interested in . Cargo net, cargo blocks, cargo tray, cargo cover, roof racks, etc. All together it added about $1700 onto the price. The only one I was interested in was the floor mats. But the salesman said all these options were already added to the VIN and the couldn’t be taken off.
Is this true? Or is this just a sales tactic?
