1966 film recommendations please!

Ok so I have an ongoing list of my favourite film of every year in chronological order (I.e 1 = fav film realised in 2024, 2 = fav film released in 2023. Etc. - can’t add current year until it’s over).

ANYWAY I currently have Seconds listed as my 1966 favourite. Now, despite the fact that I’m obsessed with the way it’s mirrors and eludes to so many aspects of Rock Hudson’s real life, I didn’t actually LOVE the film (sorry). I found the whole middle section overwhelmingly boring - but when it came to my annual update of this list I realised I had so little to chose from that year, it actually WAS my favourite of the 1966 films I’ve watched.

So, hit me with your ‘66 recommendations so I can fill that spot with a film i genuinely do consider a favourite.

Maybe I’m also asking, based on my other yearly picks, which of the above am I most likely to fall in love with?
