How do people forget to take their dose?

I seen a TikTok of a woman saying that she had forgotten to take her dose, and mind you this isn’t the first time she’s posted about this happening either. She was recording herself dumping her methadone down the sink and I’m just wondering how in the world can someone actually forget to take their dose? Plus she’s only on like 19milligrams too.
