Looking for a series that focuses on OP nobles/ leaders

So I just binged The Legend of The Arch Magus and absolutely loved the series. I was looking for more series where a super OP character works his/her way up to becoming a noble/king/emperor. I'd also accept books where the MC has a close working relationship with the king/emperor like in Arch Magus
