Finished (or Nearly) Series/Books with Little/No Profanity or Spice?
In order of preference, these are the progression novels I've read or tried:
- Cradle (S-Tier on first read and reread. Have read all Will Wight books)
- Mother of Learning (A)
- Andrew Rowe's books (B+)
- Mage Errant books (B)
- Perfect Run (DNF's in chapter 2, wasn't a fan of the language).
Any recommendations that fit the bill? When I search around I see Mark of the Fool and He Who Fights With Monsters recommended a lot, but I don't get the impression the stories are near completion - am I wrong? I don't like the idea of starting a big meandering series where the author doesn't seem to have a plan. I haven't started DCC because I think the language would bug me too much.
Also I know some people will find my strict dislike of profanity weird, but to each there own, right? I'm grateful that many of the most popular progression and fantasy books do align with my preferences. (I'm a huge Sanderson fan).
Any and all advice appreciated.
(edit: added the line about DCC)
