Drastic change in bunnilality after surgery?

My 7 year old Netherland dwarf (Mochi) underwent a hysterectomy and oophorectomy last summer because I found a mass in her belly while playing with her.

She used to be very snuggly and would come to us everyday to be pet until she falls asleep. However, after the surgery she was moulting quite extensively, and was very irritable during that time. She would not let us get close to her and would charge at us/bite us. I attributed it to stress from her recent surgery and discomfort from the moulting process (which she’s had before).

It has been over 6months since the surgery, and her hair is back to normal, she is eating and popping normally and would run around like before. However, she still growls or charges at us when we get close, she only sometimes lets me pet her head for a short amount of time and overall is just not friendly and cuddly like before.

I’m wondering if anyone else has had similar experience? We love her so much and we really miss cuddling with her. :(
