Rabbit too old to spay?

My sassy little 3.5 lb bun Lily is approximately 7 years old. I didn't have her spayed when I first got her as I was a teenager and my parents wouldn't fund it. As she gets older I'm wondering how to keep her as healthy as possible. She's showing no signs of slowing down. The internet says after 4 years their risk for uterine cancer increases. I'm wondering if anyone else has spayed an older bun and what it was like? Also what is after care for spayed buns like?
