Does anyone find no matter how much extra room you try to create, it still ends up always full of stuff?

I bought an extra table and it's pretty big, thought ah yep that should allow me to not have to shift my stuff/items about, looked empty at first then as time went on, that tables full of stuff again just like my old table

Also same with freezer, parents bought an extra freezer saying plenty of room now to store extra food, now both are full

Why is this?
