Scared FMC asking for help

Please don't judge me, this is something I've only recently discovered that I like🙈

I'm looking for a recommendation on a book with a sort-of specific scenario. The FMC is in a desperate situation, high stakes, scared, desperate, etc, etc... and asks/begs the MMC for help. Bonus points if she has been resistant to asking anyone for help, or is generally a proud person, but is forced to basically humble herself.

As an example, and the book that is 1000% to blame, {By Possession by Madeline Hunter} has a scene where the FMC is a free person, but is unable to prove it, so the lord(MMC) of the estate is basically enforcing her to go back to being a serf. So, she runs away and ends up in a bad situation. The MMC saves her but basically forces her to swear to be his serf/servant in front of the whole crowd and ....omg I swooned

It doesn't even have up be a smutty thing, actually I'd prefer if it wasn't since I don't read smut.(Which, that is not a deal breaker, I just skim over those scene) It's just something about this huge difference in power dynamic. And usually most books with this try to ignore or change the power dynamics so that they're on a more equal playing groud, but I'm looking for one that almost exploits it.

I don't have any other book examples, since this is a new thing for me. I read mostly HR and fantasy settings, but anything is fine at this point since I know this is such an oddly specific thing.
