Feeling Scammed

I got a sodastream machine last Christmas and had been loving it. I never had so much enjoyment out of drinking carbonized water. No longer did I have to ration my 8 cans of carbonized water from the store! My first cartridge ran out two weeks to the day from first carbonization. I thought it was weird since the label said the bottle was supposed to fill 60L worth of water. I certainly did not drink over a gallon of carbonized water each day, despite my apparent love. Regardless, I went and used my other cartridge which also ran out exactly 2 weeks as well. Well I then decided "I'm gonna refill my cartridges! I'm really saving on carbonated water!" Nobody nearby does any refillings, and the ridiculous price on the website is $50!!!! And then I've got to wait a number of days from that point.

I didn't even buy the thing and I feel scammed! The thing doesn't even carbonate juice or tea either--just water and ONLY water. I even asked for a drinkmate, but I bet that machine would share the same outlandish price scheme.

I guess I'm back to buying a $3.97 box of 8 cans a week since $50!!! feels like such a scam. Anyone else feel the same?
