Regal was always regarded as one of the greatest technicians of all time, up there with Hart, Angle, Danielson etc. But unlike them, he was always booked to lose (career record 932 losses). Nor did he ever have any big PPV/Mania matches. What went wrong in his career?

Always been a huge Regal fan. Watching the newly uploaded full episodes of NXT Black and Gold made me appreciate his in-ring work a lot more with putting over the younger guys as he winded down his career. Was such a shame that he never fully reached his potential in WWE back when he was in his peak.
