What will era 2 be like?

Will this current plot line completely wrap up by the end of wind and truth? Will Stormlight archive era 2 be like mistborn with a huge time skip? Will all our buddies be long distant memories?

I don't know anyrhing about the future planning for the series as you can see other than the name of the next book.
