How do you teach a student who wants doesn't want to learn?

I've been teaching piano lessons recently and I have this one student who absolutely just doesn't want to be there. He never does his homework or practice at home and every single class consists of me talking to a brick wall. I can tell he doesn't want to learn piano but his mom wants him to learn. I seriously don't know what to do I've tried being stricter, sugarcoating it and other methods but they don't work.

Is there anything I should try that helped you guys?
