Why are there so many MAGA gays?

I know this is a small minority of gay men, but I still genuinely wonder how there are even any to begin with. I "understand", for lack of a better word, some could've been blinded by the whole grocery prices bullshit, but I still see quite a lot of those even now that Trump is in office and has done nothing but worsen the situation for everybody. Trump is a threat to the LGBTQ+ community, and yet I still see gay men, even in this subreddit, supporting him and his movement. It genuinely makes no sense to me how a gay man could support something/someone that's detrimental to their rights.
