Superpower Design Guide
Superpowers are genetic. When you design a superpower, you aren't designing a single character, but a whole lineage.
Everyone has one power- there are no exceptions. Sometimes one power can accomplish multiple things, but it should make sense for it to do so. (Summoning fire and throwing fire could be the same power.) Some superpowers are just too complicated. Super speed tends to require hyper fast reactions, ignoring friction, and super strength. You can try making it in a good way of course, but it would be up to more scrutiny than a basic super strength type power.
Powers are typically far weaker at younger ages, and grow stronger as the mind does, which usually reaches its prime at around the age of 25.
Powers are either passive or active.
Passive powers cannot be deactivated.
Active powers require fuel. What is that fuel? In this world, it is bones. Monster bones are vastly superior for this purpose. Bones are ingested by making broth.
People on this world are more durable than on Earth. The reasoning for this is that durability is the most common required power.
Here is how to format your contributions:
Power's Common Name
Active/Passive (Choose one) Power
Inheritance [If something is only inherited from the mother (maternal) or father (pathernal) or either. (inherited) If it has any particular genetic traits it carries, like a hair color. (Natural colors only please)]
Description [Text here tells what this power does, and points out significant limits. Try to keep balance with other existing powers if possible- if two powers exist that are the same, but one is better, one of the powers should either gain limitations, gain benefits, or be removed entirely. Don't redact or hide anything about the description.)
History [When was the power first encountered? How common is it now? Written from in world perspective like everything else. If the information is unknown, say so, but be realistic.]
