Should I upgrade Ulf or Mataneo first

Hi everyone, I currently have both ulf and mataneo up to bronze 1 and capped at the 4 stars until I get the rare imperial orbs. (Currently 7/10) Anyways it takes forever for me to get these orbs, so I was curious who’s the better upgrade? Synergy wise I do have a silver 1 Ragnar and bronze two njal as well. I like Mataneo’s mobility but I’m not convinced he hits that hard, I like Ulf’s ability to attack spawns too. Any advice?
