Anime Next Generation

This was inspired by Ever After High. I wanted to do something of the next generation of beloved characters, only with anime. There are no destinies in this, just children of Anime characters. Some of the names are works in progress, nor do I have any fanart since I don't have confidence in my drawing skills.

First off is Akira Yagami, the daughter of Light Yagami and Misa Amane. In this universe, Light is still dead and Misa is in jail (I have debated about also having Misa dead due to manga canon, but I think the mother in jail thing is more interesting). I chose the name Akira because, well it has kira in it, and the meaning of the name has a lot of meanings that I thought would fit with the daughter of the guy who said he would be the God of the New World. Anyway, Akira lives with her grandmother, Sachiko Yagami and her aunt Sayu, (she is still is traumatized and in a wheelchair but is healing). Of course being the daughter of two mass murderers is not easy. Both in her world and at school, there are those who judge her and think she will end up like her parents. Akira does not want to change the world the way her parents did. Her dream careers are either a lawyer or a police officer like her grandfather.

She is the spitting image of her father except with longer hair (she sometimes has it up in a ponytail) and somehow was born with Shinigami eyes. Her roommate is Rei Urameshi, the daughter of Yusuke and Keiko Urameshi. She also has a Shinigami who follows her around who enjoys pomegranates. I've been debating on the Shinigami's name. Currently it's Shiyon (shi for 4 and death and yon because it also means 4). Shiyon wants Akira to be famous for being the Shinigami of the child of Kira. Akira her also falls in love with Rei and they have a relationship.

Next is Rei Urameshi, who as I wrote above, is the daughter of Yusuke and Keiko Urameshi. I might change the name because I believe other people have used the name for their own versions of Yusuke's daughter, but Rei is also a common name. If you have better ideas for her name, let me know. Anyway, she has dyed blonde hair (because I read that is a modern day delinquent style), which undyed is black like her father's. She is able to use spirit energy and uses it in similar ways to her dad. She can also see spirits (which makes her one of the few people who can see Shiyon). She is roommates with Akira who she ends up dating.

Monkey D. Gumi is the daughter of Monkey D. Luffy. Her name is pronounced gummy, like the gumi fruit. She resembles her father, with long black hair she has up in a ponytail and she does wear a hat (debating if it should be a straw hat or one like Ace's) and is usually sporting a large smile. She does not inherit the power of the Gumi Gumi fruit. She is a poor student except for P.E. Her favorite class is lunch though. She doesn't know how to swim, but luckily her roommate, Saba Nanase knows how to swim and is currently teaching her.

Saba Nanase is the daughter of Haruka Nanase from Free. Like her father, she is stoic. She is a spitting image of her father except her hair is longer. She loves to swim and loves water and water animals. Her roommate is Gumi, who she teaches how to swim. Her father is also a chef. I chose Saba for her name since saba means mackarel, which is Haruka's favorite food.

Levi is the son of Lucy/Kaede from Elfen Lied. He is a Diclonius queen (he is a transman) and has pink hair, green eyes, and horns like his mother. I was debating about making him intersex and nonbinary, but I decided to go with him being trans. He never really knew his mother, she dropped him off at the Maple Inn when he was a baby. He was raised by Kouta and the residents of Maple Inn. Despite the love he recieved, he still had a hard time making friends. He also hears the voice in his head like his mother did but he tries to ignore it. He also has a love for animals and volunteers part time at an animal shelter. I chose the name Levi because I saw a trivia thing that said that Lucy might also refer to Lucifer alongside the fossil, so I picked Levi, short for Leviathan.

Finally for now, I have Lelouch vi Britannia II who is the son of Nunnally vi Britannia. Nunnally seems like someone who would name her son after her brother. Lelouch is the 12th prince of Britannia. His hair is brown and wavy like his mom's and he has his uncle's violet eyes. His face resembles his uncle, but he has his mother's softer features. Like his mother, he is a pacifist who prefers to solve problems peacefully. But he is not one you want to piss off. Somehow (believed to be inherited from his family), Lelouch was born with a Geass. His Geass is the same as his uncle's except he can also control people with his voice.
