I checked out early and owner says putting no show in booking is best for both

So I checked out early today because an emergency and paid only for one night in cash (as the owner requested so).

He told me is better to say to booking I didn’t show and so he did. Now booking has written me to ask if i really didn’t show.

Is this a scam? Will i pay twice if i confirm no show?
