How would Batman react if he learned he was a fictional character?

I imagine if Batman learned every misfortune and tragedy in his life happened just to entertain unseen people, he would go insane (assuming he now also has full agency apart from the writers). I think it would be too devastating for him to handle mentally. What do you think his reaction would be?
