GTX970 to RTX3080, now what

just got regular rtx3080 upgrading from a gtx970. I play lots of games, and WOW what a diff; was worth the wait imo.

Cities skylines 2 is the game that "broke my pc" convinced me to upgrade lol (i get is unoptimized 11/23, but my pc is many generations old)

thanks to the backward capability the 3080 is running on an i5 4460 lol

I'd like to use more than 50% of the GPU so looking for chips upgrade.

Was thinking 12700k and ddr5 but...massive cpu caches from amd!?

I do ZERO pc stuff outside of gaming / even the i5 4460 is plenty for me for that stuff.

So is AMD the better value specifically for gaming, because of that jumbo cpu cache?
