As an [UK] A-level student starting uni in a few months, is there anything I should know/learn in advance?
Something I've already learned is that noone uses 'ethanoic' or 'ethanoate' at degree level (unlike what they teach in the A-level syllabus), but uses 'acetic' and 'acetate' instead. Are there any other trivial or more important things I should know before starting my chemistry degree?
