Another Day on Constantiam – Finishing the Church & Planning Ahead
Today, I finally finished up the church. Sadly, I couldn’t keep animals in the desert, but there’s an abundance of rabbits hopping around, and I left a horse behind as some company. The chests are stocked with food and resources for future travelers—whether they take what they need or do whatever they will with it, that’s up to them. While I’d love to see this place stand as a landmark along the highway, I understand the nature of anarchy.
I only suffered one death today, though it set me back by a solid 20,000 blocks. I’ve been too nervous to travel through the Nether since the highways seem to be completely flooded with lava. Instead, I’ve been wondering—how far out would you recommend I go before setting up a proper base? I enjoy building quiet, aesthetic places and would love to create something beautiful before it inevitably gets griefed.
While I’ve really enjoyed restoring old rest stops along the way, I’d love to start a little village of my own. Unfortunately, today was a solo journey—I didn’t run into anyone on the road. Maybe that’s for the best.
That said, I’m ending the night on a good note: upgraded gear, plenty of food, and not starving to death. That’s a win in my book.
