learning despite being told I’m bad?

idk if this is the right community but i needed to get this out lol. I’m about to start my driving lessons soon and literally EVERYONE keeps joking that I’m gonna be terrible. I know no one is safe from these comments before they start driving, its kinda just a right of passage, but its gone as far as people telling me “you just seem like someone who wouldn’t drive properly” and “you genuinely belong in the passenger seat”. I’ve had talks about how I didn’t really appreciate this esp since I haven’t touched the road yet, but to no avail lol. I was really excited to learn, but the constant inflow of these comments is really dragging down my morale and making me nervous to go on the road now, to which I think THAT will affect my mindset and performance. What do I even do 😭
