Whats the point of having snow on?

So I've started in FS25 a few days ago and im in the winter months currently. I wanted to try how it is playing with snow and how much "fun" pulling snow from your farm and streets would be. So I got myself winter equipment and waited until there was actually a layer of snow. Not even 20 minutes after I started my task the whole snow dissappeared. Whats even the point then getting winter equipment or having snow on when it dissappear from one second to the other? This is really unsatisfying and disappointing, at least for me. I wish as soon as there is a layer of snow it would stay.
