How To Use Irregularly Sized Sprites?

So I have a sprite sheet with irregularly sized sprites, is there a fast way to convert the sprites on the sheet into multiple sprites quickly even if they are irregularly sized? (For example, can I create multiple sprites of differing sizes with a single sprite sheet similar to the tileset system?) Or am I in for a metric ton of cropping?
