Buyers remorse

I got an iPad9 for my 80th birthday and then added an apple pencil and Logitech combo touch. First iPad in 14 years.

I've discovered that I don't use the pencil or keyboard and the tablet is just too big for what I do, which is reading online stuff, browsing and Reddit.

Should I sell this stuff and get a mini? I'm an eBay seller so I think I can clear $300. I can trade in for $130 which isn't enough

Is the 5th Gen mini as good my current iPad. Or is there a generation that I can afford that will work for me?
