Recommendations on Investing information for complete beginner

Hi, can anyone recommend maybe a good podcast or book that explains all about investing and EFTs for beginners/ idiots)? I have decent savings but I know it is just sitting in an account not earning much interest. I'm useless when it comes to all this.thanks
