What can I expect after finishing Drawabox?
I am someone who hasn't drawn much in the past and has no idea about the basics of drawing or how to draw. Two years ago, I tried to learn drawing and discovered Drawabox, reaching the 250-box challenge, but then I stopped drawing and left Drawabox.
My problem with Drawabox is that I don't really understand its purpose. I know it's trying to teach things like perspective and other concepts, but I don't understand when I will learn more important things—or at least what I think are more important—like drawing faces, hands, bodies, and backgrounds, rather than just lines and ellipses.
The other problem is that when I recently got back into drawing, I struggled a lot, and my drawings always turned out really bad. I'm planning to return to Drawabox and give it another chance.
The purpose of this post is to ask whether Drawabox will actually help me as a complete beginner to improve my drawing or if its lessons will still feel unclear in their purpose. Is there a better alternative, or is it worth giving it another chance?
