Phones in Bootcamp??

Anyone who's gone through bootcamp recently after they stopped using pay phones how does that work? Like are they collected and only given out when you get your phone calls, do they sit with the rest of your stuff? Do you ever get to charge it or do you have to try to make it last for 2 months?
