Local political organization recommendations

Hello NoVA,

PSA: This post is not intended to troll, demean, or denigrate anyone’s personal political affiliations or voting decisions. If you take it as such and decide to comment any dissenting opinions, know that I will not engage in any sort of discourse with you.

Due to recent events, I am feeling politically motivated and would like to hear from the community which organizations exist locally (or have local chapters) for like-minded individuals. For context, I would generally consider myself aligned with the ideals of democratic socialism. Please note that I am not seeking any organizations that incite or advocate for political violence. I would strictly like to hear about organizations that organize protests and advocate for policy changes to improve the lives of everyday people rather than the uber-wealthy.
