Alternative USB-C to HDMI besides the official Dock?

I bought the dock but I find it rather large and I figure I'd leave it at home and take a smaller all in one dongle with me to connect to my tablet/pocket/steam deck for convenience. I bought the Hiearcool 7 in 1 adapter but the lag is horrible and the audio doesn't come in properly and crackles like crazy.

Is there anyone that's tried the adapter and got it to work? Or are you using another brand that's more reliable? Are other options that I can use that aren't the official dock?
