Do cruise ship captains use simulators?

So I'm an airline pilot. Every year we have to go to those big moving simulators to prove that we still have the skills to fly the airplane and keep everyone safe. I'm curious if cruise ship operators have to do simulators and if so, can anyone link a video to show the process?
