Quit or persevere?

I looking for some input from other players.

So Splatoon 3 is my first game in the series, but also 'shooters' in general. If you don't count Unreal Tournament. I generally play turn based or the Zelda games. I actually only bought Splatoon because I loved the OLED and found it weird to have to the console and never have played the game.

Few weeks ago, I finally started playing after having the game on the shelf after two years. I just wanted to try something different after Echoes of Wisdom. Took me a moment, but I got really hooked on the game. Especially Turf War and Salmon Run, since I didn't think I should try the other modes before I got some hours under my belt.

However, lately even these modes have been going shit. And it's not just my teammates. I am playing like shit. I had a decent win/loss ratio, but it hit rock bottom with 1:2, which is really draining my enjoyment of the game.

The obvious thing is to put the game down for a while. But to be honest, I'm not done with the game, I'm just getting frustrated and tired from not improving. Splatoon really helps me to unwind at the end of a day, better than others games. I could still use that for a while longer.

My question to the community are these: Does anyone share this experience, and what did you do?

And is there anyone who can help me, maybe watch one of my Turf War battles and give me some pointers?

My main used to be Sploosh (terrible choice probably?), now I'm trying N Zap 85 and I've tried Aerosprays as well.
